· CLT / CTS | Coolant Temperature Sensor∟FunctionA variable resistance thermistor that changes resistance as the engine's coolant temperature changes. The sensor's output is monitored by the engine computer to regulate ignition timing, injector duty cycle and to regulate the radiator-cooling fan. Resistance goes down as heat goes up. ∟CLT ResistanceTo check, unplug the sensor and place the Multimeter leads across the terminals of the sensor. Check for resistances below.
